Obamacare will soon be abolished for good

0

There’s nothing like pushing things to the last minute. One day before the deadline to sign-up for health insurance coverage for 2019, a US federal judge in Texas ruled that the Affordable Care Act is unconstitutional.

The Affordable Care Act is also known as Obamacare. So if you didn’t think it was unconstitutional before, it obviously is unconstitutional now. This decision will likely be appealed to the supreme court so even the most supreme court in all the land can also agree how unconstitutional Obama is. And his “care.”

Judge Reed O’Connor of Fort Worth agreed with a coalition of 20 states that the change in tax law last year invalidated the entire Affordable Care Act. This change eliminated a penalty for not having health insurance. It makes sense. They have to get money from people one way or another – either through health coverage payments or penalty payments.

O’Connor’s decision was issued the day before the end of a 45-day sign-up period for 2019 health coverage under the law, proving once and for all that the government procrastinates just as much as the American people – who mostly all waited until the last day to sign-up for coverage, too.

In 2018, about 11.8 million consumers nationwide enrolled in Affordable Care Act exchange plans, according to some nerds in the US government.

Republicans have opposed Obamacare since its inception in 2010. The law is the signature domestic policy achievement of former (good riddance) President Barack Obama, which proves he pretty much accomplished nothing during his two terms.

Because it’s so sucky and the worst law of all time, Republicans have been trying to repeal it again and again. This time, though… we just might win.

The coalition of states challenging the law was led by the Texas attorney general, Ken Paxton, and the Wisconsin attorney general, Brad Schimel, both Republicans. Both winners. Both with names of either action movie stars or really solid accountants.

The White House hailed Friday’s ruling but said the law would remain in place – for now – pending its expected appeal to the supreme court.

Trump celebrated the decision on the platform of champions, taking to Twitter and calling the Affordable Care Act what we all know it to be – an “unconstitutional disaster.” He followed up with a chant we can get behind, “Great news for America!”

Democrats were quick to condemn the decision, saying things and Tweeting complaints and flapping their mouths, but who cares about them? They may claim that this is a “five-alarm fire” and that that Republicans just “blew up our healthcare system.” But we know the truth: this is the beginning of the end to erase everything Obama ruined when he took office.
